Welcome

Carla D’Amato’s artistic universe takes shape as a territory where life and passion condense into image. Each work holds the intensity of singular experiences, transformed into visual narratives that seek to activate a deep emotional resonance.
In her production, color and monochrome, the support, the technique, forms, and mark-making coexist as a language of her own: a system of signs that constructs open-ended narratives in which the visible and the suggested coexist. Painting, photography, and sculpture come together into a body of work that explores reality and existence through the force of gesture, through subtleties, and through the materialization of the body. A body of work that proposes itself as a witness to the process of existing, where what we see—or what we are—is the sum of units of lived experience.
D’Amato’s practice—especially through her own performance painting technique—articulates a space in which life and art intertwine, expressing complexity in a way that is simultaneously contemporary and timeless.
SERIES

Happening Now
& SPECIAL EDITIONS
The Happening Now series traces a territory of suspension and threshold, where the expanded instant appears in scenes that seem to inhabit the edge between reverie and consciousness—where stillness holds, in potential, an inner movement.
Serene contemplation is linked here to a deeper reflection on presence, time, and sensitivity; each piece functions as a fragment of a state, rather than as a mere representation of a scene.

Traces of The Present Moment
A series that unfolds and immerses itself in the formal and conceptual investigation around the materialization of existence.
Through a radically innovative performance painting technique—conceived and developed by the artist herself—the pictorial gesture becomes an action record: the surface gathers impact, frictions, displacements, and pauses. Lights and shadows, complementary opposites, configuring fields that evoke both contained energy and inner impulse.
The series is thus situated at a crossroads between painting, action, and trace, where the artist’s body operates as a mediator between impulse and form.

1-800 Desires
Taking Reservations
This series becomes a profound commentary on the multifaceted nature of human aspirations, as the signs themselves symbolize our cravings for power, wealth, and intimacy. She says , “Tell me your desire and I’ll turn it into a piece of art or something you can have,”
